If you have been in Denmark more than 3 months

Your choice of childcare will depend on the age of your child. You can sign up your child for childcare services before your child is 4 months old for day nursery and public childminding or before 2 years for kindergarten.

As there is usually a waiting list for public childcare, make sure to to sign up for childcare services in advance. Your child can at the earliest be enrolled in day nursery or public childminding when it turns 6 months. Most children are around 1 year old when they get enrolled. 

Activities to support child development are part of all childcare services.
