Parental leave

In Denmark both parents are entitled to parental leave. Depending on your job, you can either get pay or maternity maintenance during your maternity leave.

Parents who are living together at the time of birth, or at the time of placement of a child, are each entitled to 24 weeks of leave. Of those, 13 weeks may be transferred to the other parent.
