You can order a certificate to prove where you live in Denmark and your marital status in Danish, English or German.

Certificate of residence and marital status

A certificate of residence (bopælsattest) is a document that proves your address in the Central National Register. You can use the certificate to prove that you have lived at an address for a certain period.

A certificate of marital status (civilstandsattest) is a residence certificate which also states if you are married or unmarried. 


A certificate of residence and civil status costs DKK 75 (2019).
