Withdraw your child from a day care service (0 - 6 years)

If you accept an offer for enrolment for a kindergarten located in The City of Copenhagen, Pladsanvisningen automatically withdraws your child from its current public day nursery or public chilminder in The City of Copenhagen.

In case your child is currently enrolled in a childcare service in another municipality or in a private day care offer, you must withdraw your child yourself by contacting the other municipality or private day care offer.

If you accept an offer for your child to start in a childcare service in another municipality, it is your responsibility to withdraw your child from its childcare service in The City of Copenhagen with one month's notice. 

If you accept an offer for enrolment in a after-school facility located in The City of Copenhagen, Pladsanvisningen automatically withdraws your child from its current kindergarten in The City of Copenhagen.

In case your child is currently enrolled in a kindergarten in another municipality or in a private day care offer, you must withdraw your child yourself by contacting the other municipality or private kindergarten.

If you accept an offer for your child to start in a kindergarten in another municipality, it is your responsibility to withdraw your child from its current kindergarten in The City of Copenhagen with one month's notice.

Children who start in public school in The City of Copenhagen will receive an offer for enrolment in an after school care during a period from April 1st until August 1st the year the child starts school. 

If your child has to start in an after school care at a private school, your child can continue in its kindergarten until the private school starts in August. Please note that it is your own responsibility to withdraw your child from its current kindergarten, when you know what date your child will start in the private school.

If you regret having accepted enrolment in a day nursery, public childminder or kindergarten, you can cancel the enrolment with a minimum of 14 days' notice to Pladsanvisningen. 

Please note that your child is removed from waiting lists, when you accept an enrolment. If you want your child to stay on a certain waiting list for a childcare service again, you must re-register your child. Your child will get seniority on the waiting list according to the new registration date.
