What can I do to increase my chances of finding a job?
If you have lost your job, you should register as unemployed with your job centre. Soon afterwards, the job centre will make a plan for your job search. This plan should help you to improve your chances of getting a job.
The job centre will launch different initiatives that can help you expand your network and gain new qualifications and relevant experience.
Apart from the contact with the job centre, it may be a good idea to:
- Stick to an ordinary work pattern throughout your day. Try to allocate specific times for your job search so that you can subsequently take time off with a good conscience.
- Go to networking events and other activities where you can meet new people who might need your labour or where you can meet others in the same situation as you.
