How do I enroll my children in a public school in Copenhagen?
Danish speaking children
You can register your school preferences for a school in the City of Copenhagen on our Danish website www.kk.dk/skole. You can also inform us, if you have applied for enrollment at a private school or a public school outside Copenhagen.
You can enroll your child online at the City of Copenhagen’s pages on school enrollment. (These pages are in Danish).
If you wish to enroll your child in school outside the regular enrollment period, you have to contact your district school. Your disctrict school is the school you belong to geografically and the school where your child is ensured a place. Find out which school your child belong to in the pdf below.

Non-Danish speaking children

Or call this number (+45) 40202585.
The coordinator will need to know your names, address, phone number, and the language, in which the child is most fluent.
The coordinator will make sure, that you will get an invitation to a meeting concerning your child’s needs and the process of enrollment. You must bring your child with you to the meeting. The meeting will be held, in the language, in which the child is most fluent.
