Dental care for children and young adults
The City of Copenhagen offers different dental care packages depending on your child's age.
Toddlers (0 to 4 years old)
The first invitation to your child for a dental examination will come when your child is around 1 year old. The invitation will be sent automatically from the City of Copenhagen’s dental clinic for children. After this, visits are based on need.
Children and young adults (5 to 22 years old)
Schoolchildren usually go to a dental clinic at their school or located nearby. Parents are welcome to attend.
After leaving school, young adults who were born before 2004 will be called in for dental examination and treatment until they turn 18.
Young people born after 2004 will continue to be called in for dental examination and treatment until they turn 22.
Examination and treatment are based on the child’s needs. The child is normally invited in for examination every 12 to 24 months. For special needs, invitations are made more often.
