What to do if I have lost my passport?
If you have lost your Danish passport in Denmark, you must report it missing and perhaps order a new passport by visiting Borgerservice (Citizen Service) or Borgerservice KVIK (Citizen Service Quick) in the City of Copenhagen (LINK).
Please note that if you are not a Danish citizen, you must contact your country’s embassy or consulate. If this is not possible, please contact Udlændingeservice (the Danish Immigration Service).
If you have lost your passport abroad
If you have lost your passport abroad, you must report it missing at the local police station and go to your country’s nearest embassy or consulate which will issue a temporary passport.
If your country does not have an embassy or consulate any other EU embassy or consulate can issue a special EU emergency passport.
You can find any country's embassies or consulates at www.embassypages.com. At the various embassies’ websites you can also read more about what to bring.
