Can I loan money for my deposit?

You can apply for a loan to pay for the deposit, if you meet certain requirements.

You can apply your municipality for a loan to pay for a deposit when you move to a new flat. It requires that you meet the conditions you can see beneath.

If the flat is located in a different municipality than the one you live in now, you must apply with the new municipality.

You may also apply for a loan to pay for the deposit, if your change of address is due to urban renewal or you are a refugee (within the first three years after you have been granted a residence permit).

You can apply for a loan to pay for a deposit for:

  • Cooperative housing societies.
  • Cooperative housing societies for senior citizens.
  • Group homes.

Before you submit the form, your housing society must fill in section B. Notice, that the form should be send online, and you need to log on with NemID first. The form is in Danish.
